women’s defensive pistol

LEVEL 1

Sponsored by

Brooks Battlegroup Women’s Defensive Pistol Level 1 is designed to provide instruction on basic pistol fundamentals, Including; firearms safety, nomenclature, manipulation, presentation, and engagement. By the end of this course, each student will be able to safely manipulate a pistol and Efficiently present and engage targets within 25 yards or less

Treat every gun as if it were loaded: Never assume a firearm is unloaded; always visually check the chamber and action yourself

Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot: Rest your finger alongside the frame, outside the trigger guard, until your sights are on target and you've decided to fire.

Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction: Never point a gun at anything you're not willing to destroy, even if you think it's unloaded.

Be sure of your target and what is beyond it: Know your target, ensure there's a safe backstop, and be aware of what lies behind your target to prevent unintended harm.
